Wordless Wednesday: La “piñesta”

Ok – so not quite “Wordless”…

One of the girls asked if we were going to have a piñesta at their party.

“A what?”

“A piñesta”

Puzzled look on my face

“You know. That thing with candy at a fiesta. A piñesta”

And now a new word has been coined at our house. Part fiesta…part piñata. La piñesta. Me gusta!

    Have you noticed how “Piñestas” in PR have a bunch strings to pull the bottom out?

    Rewind to when I was 8:
    Imagine my thoughts when I went to a birthday party in the US and was told to take a bat and attack a piñata for the first time… Let’s just say I had no clue.
